Founders Shari Perry and Amy Mounce have over thirty years of experience as certified special education teachers and school administrators.

Shari Perry is a lifelong special educator. Shari served in a variety of school roles from certified special education teacher to central office administrator for Maryland’s largest school district.
Shari runs a successful educational advocacy business that helps local families navigate IEPs, 504s, disciplinary hearings, and school placements.

Amy Mounce brings over 25 years of experience as a certified special educator, educational diagnostician, consultant, and university instructor. Amy understands the importance of working proactively and collaboratively with stakeholders to create effective and sustainable supports across settings that address both the academic and social-emotional needs of students.
Amy provides expert advocacy and educational consulting services to families in the Greater Washington, D.C. area and globally.
